Alexis Kouros, MD (CEO)

Alexis Kouros is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a background in medicine and media. They have a MD in medicine and master’s studies focused in Public Health and Epidemiology from University of Eastern Finland. With expertise in E-Health, media relations, journalism, corporate communications, digital publishing, television, and radio, they have held leadership positions at companies such as VitalSigns Oy, Dream Catcher, and Eternall Sciences. He has also served as Editor in Chief for Helsinki Times, the first and only English language newspaper in Finland, and as a Development Manager and Biodesign team leader at HUS Helsingin University Hospital. Kouros has received numerous honors and awards, including the Finlandia Junior Literary Award and the Golden Helsinki Medal.

Tapio Taipalus, (CTO)

D.Sc. in Automation and Robotics, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, MBA from Hanken & SSE Executive Education. Tapio has expertise in managing and leading research and development work related to sensors, mechatronics, and embedded systems, with experience in medical devices, robotics for elderly care, and automation of heavy machinery. He has held positions such as Managing Director and Director of Innovation and Development in companies such as GIM Ltd. and Sensible 4 Oy, and have been awarded the ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance.
